FOR LEFT-HANDED PEOPLE (With reverse spiral)
It is estimated that about 10% of the population is left-handed, but waiter corkscrews (corkscrews in general) for left-handed people are very hard to find. Almost no one sells them. Popotamus currently offers two models in the Pulltap's 500 series for left-handed people.
On a left-handed corkscrew, the spiral is twisted in the opposite direction to the standard models. When the spiral is reversed, left-handed people can screw the spiral into the cork by turning their wrist outwards, i.e. counterclockwise. This is the most efficient way to screw the spiral into the cork, as in this direction of movement you press on the corkscrew handle with your thumb.
Corkscrews from the Spanish company Pulltap's are well-known and loved by waiters and bartenders. Pulltap's is located in the Spanish city of Sabadell, which is located a little north of Barcelona. All corkscrews are manufactured at Pulltap's own factory in Sabadell.
In 1996, Pulltap’s invented the double lever for waiter’s corkscrews and this little invention, which Pulltap’s has patented, is a huge improvement on the traditional waiter’s corkscrew.

The patented double lever with two steps makes it much easier and safer to pull the cork out of the bottle. Screw the spiral all the way in, start with the first step of the lever and then use the next step. Much less force is required than if the corkscrew only had a regular single-step lever and there is also much less risk of the cork breaking, as it is pulled vertically all the way up.

The Teflon-coated spiral easily screws through both corks and synthetic corks. The spiral is 55 mm long and has 5 twists. The length is suitable for even the longest corks and the many twists ensure that the spiral has a good grip on the cork.

Fold-out foil knife. There is a small serrated folding knife hidden in the handle, which is used to cut the foil on the bottle.
